The on-going bitter feud between the Okoye brothers (Jude, Peter & Paul) has been waved aside by veteran broadcaster Kenny Ogungbe who described the seeming war as a publicity stunt.
While speaking during his Kennis Music Radio programme monitored in Lagos, the music impresario said he is sure the twin brothers have a big show coming up in December and they are using the feud as a game.
“I am sure they have a massive show coming up in December and they are using this as a publicity stunt. They have over 100 songs and people who called us on the radio within 15 minutes, requested for about 29 of their songs.
“If you are breaking up after recording about 100 songs, will you break up to record another big song as a solo artiste? At what age? How many songs are they going to release that would be up to what they have released already? At what age do they want to do that when people are interested in listening to songs released by younger artistes?
“Quote me anywhere that I said it is a game. In the video that was released online, Paul said it was a shame to Peter. It is a game (laughs). Quote me anywhere that I said that it is a game but if they don’t get back together, good luck to them,” he said.
In a move which seemed like the end for the dynamic group days ago, Peter served a letter terminating the contract with his twin brother- a development which seemingly confirms their split.
Peter sent the termination letter to the chambers of prominent lawyer, Festus Keyamo requesting that he be set free from whatever contractual agreement that binds him with his twin brother.
In the last two weeks, the pair of Peter and Paul have been posting messages on social media suggesting they may have both parted ways as a group, and Peter’s latest move confirms their breakup but Kenny Ogunbe seems not to be fooled by their actions which he believes are orchestrated.
