A video has emerged from a training session in Miami, where Barcelona are preparing to face Real Madrid on Sunday morning, showing a training-ground spat between Neymar and new signing Nelson Semedo.
Sky Sports released footage of the Brazil superstar kicking out at Semedo, before being held back by Sergio Busquets and eventually storming out of the session.
In the video, which is now viral, the full-back Semedo – who joined Barca from Benfica for £26.8million just last month – then walks away as the rest of the Barcelona players look on, but then the Brazilian forward, who had to be physically restrained, kept shouting at him.
With the two players at a distance, the striker who seemed to be clearly peeved then tears off his training bib and throws it to the ground as manager Ernesto Valverde stands helpless close by, stalking off with only a rueful pat on the back from Mascherano. He then angrily kicks out at a nearby ball and looks to leave the training pitch.
Neymar has been linked with a world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth £195million, and his walkout now looks to have made that move even more likely.
Recently, in an interview with the New York Times, the Barcelona president, Josep Bartomeu, admitted he is powerless to stop him.
