Dr. John Danfulani, a former lecturer with the Kaduna State University, and leader of Southern Kaduna Organization, on Monday said the people of the area would prefer to go with the Biafra Republic should Nigeria breakup.
Danfulani, who doubles as the Co-ordinator of the Centrum Initiative for Development and Fundamental Rights Advocacy, made this known when he paid the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu a visit in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.According to him, the people of Southern Kaduna “share a lot of values in common with Biafrans,” and would not hesitate to follow them “if Nigeria breaks up.”
While lamenting the fate of minority ethnic nationalities in Southern Kaduna who are mostly Christians, he condemned what he called “government’s indifference” to their ordeals following incessant “unprovoked attacks by herdsmen.”
